About the role

  • Mechanical maintenance of critical equipment
  • Lead mechanical maintenance engineering activities in the Reduction (smelting) area
  • Monitor and organize the steps of the maintenance routine
  • Prepare technical analyses of failures and risks
  • Provide technical support for improvements and projects (including CAPEX)
  • Conduct studies and cost analyses of materials and components
  • Prepare technical reports, KPIs and presentations on losses and asset conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
  • Active CREA registration
  • Previous experience as a maintenance engineer in a large-scale industrial environment
  • Strong foundation in mechanical maintenance of large, high-operational-criticality equipment
  • Solid knowledge of lubrication, bearings and gear reducers
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • For Furnaces: mechanical maintenance applied to the Reduction furnaces and their associated critical equipment
  • For PTM: solid experience with metal structures, rails, heavy-handling systems and mechanical maintenance of overhead cranes operating on rails
  • Proficiency with reliability and failure analysis tools (e.g., FMEA, RCM, RCA)
