About the role
- Ensure the deployment and enforcement of the HSE policy at the site
- Provide cross-functional leadership for Hygiene, Safety and Environment by implementing remedial, corrective and preventive actions
- Train, raise awareness and inform site employees
- Lead and coordinate the site HSE Technicians team
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of the HSE plan
- Conduct assessments of occupational and environmental risks and implement appropriate prevention action plans
- Participate in organizing information flows and support teams in adopting them
- Develop and deliver training and awareness campaigns on HSE issues
- Monitor changes in regulations and ensure site compliance
- Define and implement appropriate indicators to evaluate HSE performance
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac+5) — engineering degree or specialized master's in HSE
- Significant experience in a similar role within an industrial environment, ideally in metallurgy
- Ability to unite and engage teams around HSE priorities
- Ability to raise awareness, train and inform at all levels of the organization
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of standards and legal obligations regarding occupational health & safety and the environment
- Ability to identify, assess and prevent occupational and environmental risks
- Ability to plan, conduct and analyze internal and external audits
- Proficiency in reporting tools, performance indicators and management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.)
- Strong written and spoken English — B2 to C1 level required
