About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines that prepare financial data for analytical consumption in BigQuery
  • Develop dbt models following the medallion architecture to create clean, reliable datasets for self-serve analytics
  • Contribute to conversational analytics capabilities allowing finance users to query data using natural language
  • Write SQL transformations for dashboards, reports, and AI-driven insights tools
  • Build and maintain APIs and services delivering data to downstream analytical applications
  • Work with senior engineers to understand requirements and translate them into well-structured code
  • Partner with finance stakeholders to understand analytical needs and validate actionable solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
  • Contribute to team documentation and user-facing guides
  • Write clear, tested code following team standards
  • Instrument pipelines and applications with logging, metrics, and alerting
  • Stay current with emerging AI and analytics technologies
  • Adhere to engineering and security standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Internship or coursework experience in software engineering or data engineering
  • Ability to write clean, readable Python code for data processing and application development
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries to explore, transform, and validate data
  • Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ELT/ETL patterns
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) through coursework or projects
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when debugging data issues
  • Experience with BigQuery, dbt, or other modern data stack tools
  • Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, or conversational interfaces
  • Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau or Looker
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
