About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the program management discipline for inventory positioning across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack's full network, including fulfillment centers and stores
  • Lead a team of program managers driving execution across FC and Store inventory positioning
  • Own fulfillment center inventory positioning strategy and connect inventory placement with operations execution
  • Drive initial placement and overall inventory position across the network
  • Partner with teams focused on Returns, Secondary Positioning, Transfers, and Inventory Movement to balance FC and store inventory
  • Support Scaled Events by ensuring fulfillment centers and stores carry the right assortment and inventory levels
  • Advance AI-assisted insights in inventory positioning and identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual work
  • Lead the transition to new Allocation systems in partnership with Product & Technology
  • Shape placement strategy aligned with Operations' long-term plans
  • Lead change management for evolving Allocation tools, processes, and capabilities
  • Communicate inventory strategies, planning inputs, and business outcomes across the organization
  • Provide tactical input and strategic context to weekly and monthly business reviews
  • Build cross-functional teams through peer collaboration and leader empowerment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of job-related experience, such as Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, or Merchandise Planning and Execution
  • Experience leading a team or program managers
  • Demonstrated success formulating inventory strategy and leading others through implementation
  • Data- and measurement-driven decision-making experience
  • Comfort adopting AI-assisted tools as part of team workflows
  • Experience leading a team through a system or platform transition
  • Experience translating new capabilities into changed processes
  • Experience leading change management for teams
  • Ability to deliver messages effectively to audiences at various organizational levels
  • Ability to drive complex, multi-stakeholder programs across functional and organizational boundaries while managing risk
