About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for delivering brand-informed seasonal concepts with leadership oversight.
- Understands how product design, market analysis and data analytics influence + evolve retail strategies at a brand level.
- Identifies and curates color pallets, trends, print/pattern, fabric and silhouette information for specific brands.
- Works with Sr. Manager of Concept and Concept Director to produce and communicate conceptual stories on a seasonal basis.
- Collaborates with Design Director and partners on the implementation and execution of conceptual ideas.
- Conducts color and trend research to support seasonal product priorities and merchant strategies.
- Reinforces conceptual/trend information as new intel becomes available, always keeping a pulse on fashion publications, social media and the runways.
- Competitively shops the market to understand the landscape, reporting back key findings to CFTs.
- Influences product decisions during the development and assortment phases to ensure relevant, engaging offerings for our customer.
- Has confidence to identify where assortments have strayed away from the original concept and can provide recommendations to course-correct.
- Supports Sr. Manager in fostering partnerships with CFT's and oversees catering content to meet their needs.
- Seasonal travel for research and/or product development.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong design and conceptual skills
- Strong knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques & fabric
- Proficient in Illustrator and capable in Microsoft, Photoshop, InDesign, Miro, etc.
- Positive and passionate with strong problem-solving skills.
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with business partners & teammates.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- College degree in Fashion Design, Textiles or a related field.
- 5+ Years relevant experience preferred
