About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and mentor the internal Nordstrom creative team, delivering world-class work that connects with customers and drives results
  • Collaborate closely with peers, partners, and the Creative Director to concept, develop, and deliver brand, fashion, and product storytelling campaigns across digital channels, print, and store environments
  • Lead in-house ideation while providing creative guidance and expertise to external partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of creative direction experience, including a minimum of 3 years leading a team
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in design, marketing, fashion, arts, advertising, journalism, or a related field — or equivalent experience
  • Proven success in high-volume, fast-paced omni-channel or retail environments
  • A portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns across TV/film, digital, OOH, social media, and print.
  • Experience collaborating with photo art directors, producers, videographers, stylists, set designers, graphic designers, and copywriters
  • Strong leadership skills navigating complex retail and cross-functional organizations
  • Comfort presenting concepts at the executive level to diverse audiences
  • Deep knowledge of influential image makers, photographic styles, and visual references
  • Experience supporting editorial and content strategy
  • A customer-centric, strategic mindset with strong cultural awareness — able to identify macro and micro trends and determine their relevance for the Nordstrom customer
  • Excellent research skills and an ability to quickly absorb and synthesize reference material
  • A strong aptitude for leveraging AI technologies to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Proficiency in Figma, Keynote, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
