About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs
  • Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems
  • Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Complete specific production tasks within designated timeframes and exceed production benchmarks
  • Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from the work area
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve electrical assembly procedures
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support other production areas as assigned by the supervisor
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot potential electrical connectivity issues with PQA and Engineering
  • Assist mechanical assembly operators as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Electrical certifications or technical training
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing
  • Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems
  • Ability to read work instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with overhead crane operation
  • Ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification (Required)
  • Willingness to obtain relevant electrical safety certifications
  • Familiarity with multimeters, crimping tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test (as Required)
  • Working at heights
  • Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Proper use of applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
  • Fluency in spoken and understood English
  • Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted
