About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead contract negotiations during the sales phase, with emphasis on all PM related terms & conditions such as milestone achievement criteria, testing procedures, schedule planning, excusable events & change orders, detailed scope of responsibility & interface definition, etc.
- Identify risks, evaluate mitigation options and present solutions to the internal project approval process (Gate Process) and ensure approval and transfer of risk mitigation measures to the executed contracts and project planning.
- Provide cost calculations for project execution works, such as for on-site personnel, tooling & equipment, customer and BOP support, quality assurance, etc.
- Coordinate Project schedules between customers and internal departments such as manufacturing and logistics.
- Represent the Nordex organization to our clients in a way that demonstrates our excellence, creates trust and delivers customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with other Nordex departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Service and Legal during tendering phase.
- Present in-depth handovers to transfer essential knowledge to the execution team.
- Other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as business / project management, industrial / sales engineering, etc.
- 5+ years of professional experience in contract negotiations in a comparable large-scale industrial project, with emphasis on PM related terms.
- Experience with commercial, finance, legal and other terms a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in other project management related roles such as Project/Site manager, contract manager, technical advisor, etc., (preferably in the wind energy sector or in industrial scale construction projects).
- Strong in critical thinking and ability to think out-of-the-box to find creative solutions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proactive go-getter attitude, able to stay motivated and work independently.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Strong software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required.
- Ability to get a valid passport.
- Must be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship and have the ability to travel to the US for training.
- Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.
