Mechanical Engineer – Grease Lubrication Systems
Nordex GroupMechanical Engineer designing and developing lubrication systems for wind turbines. Collaborating with suppliers and internal departments for project delivery across global markets.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and development of automatic grease lubrication units for pitch and yaw bearings and gears in wind turbines together with external suppliers
- Preparation of design specification, functional specification and validation plan
- Coordination with other departments like Quality, Sourcing, Material Management and Service for ensuring the end-to-end view of those systems
- Qualification of new suppliers
- Support to DFMEA development and quality analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable university degree.
- 3+ years of experience with grease lubrication systems, preferably in the wind industry sector.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable to work in multi-national, multi-cultural teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
- Ability to manage projects and to work as a team with good analytical skills and the flexibility and dynamism in the execution of tasks.
- Fluent English, ideally skills in German and/or Spanish.
