About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop detailed production plans aligned with customer demand forecasts and business objectives.
- Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machines, materials) to ensure efficient operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality to ensure smooth execution of plans.
- Continuously monitor production schedules and make adjustments to address changes in demand or constraints.
- Regularly update demand forecasts and sales requirements in the system (ERP/MRP).
- Ensure data accuracy to support effective planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain teams to validate and refine demand inputs.
- Track and monitor production and delivery performance against planned targets.
- Identify risks or delays proactively and drive mitigation actions.
- Ensure adherence to delivery commitments to maintain high customer satisfaction and service levels.
- Conduct detailed analysis of production losses, downtime, and inefficiencies.
- Identify root causes using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., Pareto analysis, Fishbone diagrams).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related field).
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing Operations, or Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Management.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Ability to analyze complex production data and derive meaningful insights.
- Strong root-cause analysis and decision-making capabilities.
