About the role

  • Develop and implement a global sourcing strategy for the Main Gearbox category in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Drive price and capacity negotiations to ensure competitive, best-in-class Nordex pricing
  • Negotiate and manage global contracts (FPA, QAA, NDA, SERVICE) across the supply chain
  • Coordinate and lead category management activities, ensuring alignment with all internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with key suppliers to foster mutual growth
  • Manage supplier-related activities throughout the value chain, including transformation to new geographic footprints (EU, US, India, China)
  • Ensure proactive supplier engagement on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, CSR, Sustainability, and Innovation initiatives, achieving KPIs and targets

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management within the wind sector or a comparable international industry
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with an end-to-end mindset, solid business understanding, and sound judgment
  • Structured, systematic, and transparent approach to managing business processes
  • High level of ownership, service orientation, and ability to work independently
  • Pragmatic and adaptable to dynamic, changing environments
  • Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness for working in global teams
