About the role

  • Provide technical support to the Sales/Tender and Project Management teams during the sales and project execution phases for all technical aspects of wind farm civil infrastructure, including foundations, layouts, access roads, crane hardstands and other related structures.
  • Prepare project-specific documentation for foundation and layout designs and clarify technical details with our clients, their designers and/or contractors.
  • Review foundation design drawings against technical requirements, prepare reports and resolve open issues with the designer.
  • Assess and review geotechnical site investigation reports, comment on and resolve outstanding items with the geotechnical engineer.
  • Review project-specific construction documents for compliance with local standards and regulations and initiate necessary adjustments or updates.
  • Early identification of risks and opportunities and development of appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and provide technical support for BoP tender management of full wind farm tenders (BoQ – Bill of Quantities and RfQ – Request for Quotation).
  • Provide technical support during construction execution.
  • Provide on-site technical support during site visits as required to ensure quality execution.
  • Address punch-list items within your discipline and prepare and compile final project documentation.
  • Implement and support company processes and tools, and develop locally required processes/tools in cooperation with the global team.
  • Regularly report results, risks and challenges to the project manager and the global department.
  • Ensure active involvement of Corporate HSE (Health, Safety & Environment).
  • Regular domestic and international travel is part of the role.

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in the planning, design and execution of civil infrastructure works, particularly foundations, access roads and crane hardstands
  • Knowledge and experience in structural design and calculation of concrete structures, especially accounting for seismic and fatigue loading
  • Knowledge and experience in planning access roads and wind farm layouts
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD or comparable software
  • Knowledge and experience in interpreting geotechnical site investigation reports
  • Ability to understand contractual requirements and translate them into practice
  • Competence in identifying and defining risks, unclear interfaces and gaps
  • Independent, process-oriented working style with sufficient flexibility for unforeseen situations
  • Ability to work across cultures and technical disciplines and to collaboratively develop solutions
  • Pragmatic, hands-on approach ("hands-on mentality")
  • Business-fluent German and English skills.
