About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles by developing sophisticated strategic models that capture the unique complexities of our insurance and administrative services business model.
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to department heads, offering financial expertise and actionable guidance to help them achieve their operational and financial objectives.
  • Architect and automate high-impact management reporting packages that monitor KPIs, surface critical trends, and evaluate budget vs. actual performance for executive reviews and Board presentations.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models to analyze client and broker profitability, claim and reserve dynamics, staffing requirements, and prospective M&A or partnership initiatives.
  • Optimize financial systems and workflows to enhance the speed and precision of reporting, with a dedicated focus on leveraging AI-driven tools to drive operational innovation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to high-impact FP&A leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise within the insurance, administrative services, SaaS, or financial services sectors is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; advanced credentials such as an MBA, CPA, or CFA are strongly desired.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the development of sophisticated strategic models and sensitivity analyses.
  • Hands-on proficiency with advanced financial planning systems such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or Vena.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade ERP systems like NetSuite or Intacct, alongside BI and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI-driven tools to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and operational innovation.
  • Superior ability to translate intricate financial data into clear, compelling narratives for executive-level review.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • A meticulous eye for detail balanced by a broad, strategic "big picture" perspective.
