About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the external drafting and prosecution, as well as the foreign filing processes of Cellular Standards Physical Layer patenting team
Drafting patent applications with external patent attorneys
Prosecute globally the patent applications inhouse and with external patent attorneys
Reviewing claim charts and collaborating with others to ascertain the claim scope and mapping to standards
Collaborating closely with the inventor community

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's in engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience with patent prosecution of which at least some experience in drafting and prosecution of Cellular Standards Essential Patents
Qualified US, EP and/or Chinese Patent Attorney
It would be nice if you also had:
Strong motivation and capability to develop an in-depth understanding of the 6G Physical Layer as it is developed.
Strong organizational skills to manage the often urgent external drafting of patent applications
Ability to innovate, and agility to adapt to, new ways of doing things
Great skills at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical acumen , and communication skills
Mentality of a collaborative team player
