About the role

  • Proficient/Experienced in embedded software testing, including manual and automated methodologies.
  • Strong command/Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, bash) for test automation and debugging.
  • Knowledge/Familiarity with debugging tools for embedded systems and IP networks.
  • Experience in creating, reviewing and executing test plans.
  • Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects in embedded systems.
  • Analyse features and design test cases and test scenarios based on requirements specifications.
  • Creating feature test strategy for new features.
  • Integrate and verify features in a customer-close, end-to-end test lab with real equipment environment.
  • Plan test automation strategy for developed products and solutions.
  • Trouble-shoot SW bugs by proper pre-analysis of the faults, deliver traces and log files and verifying the fixes delivered by development.
  • Cooperate closely with Architecture, Development and Customer teams.
  • Participate in setting up test related processes.
  • Support demos, customer trials and pilots for your testing area (travel to customer and other R&D locations).
  • Technical work planning and governance.
  • Providing on-boarding trainings for newcomers and trainings for teammates.
  • Mentoring team members.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunication systems 4G/5G and 3GPP standard
  • Advanced knowledge of telecom protocols, IP and networking
  • Test automation experience
  • Other tools: Linux user, GIT
  • Teamwork skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Good communication skills in English - both verbal and written
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a similar subject
  • Readiness to work in a hybrid mode (Nokia Kraków office)
