About the role
- Design and develop network architectures and services for a key Nokia customer in the US.
- Create implementation and migration plans; document configuration equipment and services.
- Test and support networks in various deployment stages; perform laboratory tests and field measurements.
- Provide recommendations to optimize network operations, performance, capacity, and spectrum.
- Perform network audits and troubleshoot faults in multi-vendor environments; optimize networks based on traffic trends and forecasts.
- Support development of network configuration files and interface analysis; enhance product placement and features for reliability, availability, and serviceability.
- Perform critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities independently.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent practical work experience.
- Experience in MPLS, ISIS, Segment Routing, BGP protocols, LDP and RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS, Nokia Route.
- Experience in QoS implementation/testing; familiarity with testing tools like Spirent and IXIA.
- Expertise troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring the noted IP networking protocols.
- A customer mindset and solid written and verbal communication skills to end-clients.
- Nokia SEGW (Security Gateway) experience is strongly preferred.
- Nokia products experience (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS, and NSP).
