About the role
- Lead qualification of new optical modules across design teams in North America
- Drive optical module vendors to meet technical requirements
- Risk-manage the introduction of optical transceivers into the Router product line
- Coordinate Engineering, Product Line Management, and Procurement for new product introduction
- Define requirements based on inputs from Engineering and Product Management
- Select external vendors using technical and commercial criteria
- Organize purchase orders and internal distribution plans
- Manage schedule and make risk calls to overcome obstacles
- Lead R&D activities to achieve product release targets
Requirements
- a B.Sc or B.Eng in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with suitable background
- 7+ years of optical module industry experience
- Program Management experience, scheduling, and resource planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- a track record of leading complex programs with multiple stakeholders and hitting release targets
