About the role

  • Lead qualification of new optical modules across design teams in North America
  • Drive optical module vendors to meet technical requirements
  • Risk-manage the introduction of optical transceivers into the Router product line
  • Coordinate Engineering, Product Line Management, and Procurement for new product introduction
  • Define requirements based on inputs from Engineering and Product Management
  • Select external vendors using technical and commercial criteria
  • Organize purchase orders and internal distribution plans
  • Manage schedule and make risk calls to overcome obstacles
  • Lead R&D activities to achieve product release targets

Requirements

  • a B.Sc or B.Eng in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with suitable background
  • 7+ years of optical module industry experience
  • Program Management experience, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • a track record of leading complex programs with multiple stakeholders and hitting release targets
