About the role

  • Plan, coordinate, write, and illustrate technical documentation and user guides as web-based publications for internal and external users
  • Create high-quality, customer-oriented technical documentation for complex optical networking products, aligning with SDLC, DDLC, and structured writing principles
  • Independently manage documentation schedules and deliverables to align with product development timelines
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including PLM, R&D, and Test to gather accurate technical information
  • Develop and maintain API documentation and integrate content into web-based publications using tools like Arbortext and Oxygen XML
  • Use graphic editors (e.g., SnagIt, CorelDraw) and apply single-sourcing strategies for reusable content
  • Leverage Agile methodologies and DevOps practices; use defect-tracking and content management systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Continuously improve documentation quality and usability while adhering to corporate standards and quality benchmarks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in technical documentation, preferably in the Optical Networking or Telecommunications domain
  • Proven expertise in structured writing principles, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the Documentation Development Life Cycle (DDLC)
  • Strong proficiency in XML authoring tools (e.g., Arbortext or Oxygen) and graphic tools (e.g., SnagIt, CorelDraw)
  • Hands-on experience with API documentation, including integration into customer-facing technical content
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices, including working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to independently manage documentation schedules and deliverables
  • (Nice to have) Working knowledge of basic UNIX and scripting for interacting with development/test environments
  • (Nice to have) Experience with single-sourcing strategies and content management systems for scalable content development
