About the role

  • Position: Software Developer Co-op/Intern Number of Position(s): 1 Duration: 4 months + Date: January 2026 - April 2026 Location: Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada Join Nokia’s dynamic team working on Cybersecurity Dome (Automated Defense Center) - an innovative, automated security SaaS offering. You’ll help define procedures for emergency response and detection of mobile network infrastructure attacks, contributing to the development of cutting - edge cybersecurity solutions. You will: Participate in an Agile team focused on specification, design, development, and testing. You will: Collaborate with senior developers to implement automated procedures. You will: Write and execute unit tests. You will: Investigate and fix defects.

Requirements

  • Currently a candidate for a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada. Strong ability to learn new concepts and technologies. Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and unit test automation tools (Junit, Jest). Familiarity with Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized applications. Nice to have: Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms. Nice to have: Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
