About the role
- Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group bringing more and faster network capacity worldwide
- Help design and further develop Nokia’s routers/chassis based on Open Community NOS (SONiC) for data center networking
- Execute, enhance, design, and develop sophisticated tests to verify conformance of features against requirements
- Drive features to completion (ready for GA release) and interact extensively with Software, Hardware, Firmware and Product Marketing teams
- Develop, modify and execute software test plans; develop automated test cases using Python in Pytest environment
- Analyze and write test standards and procedures; maintain documentation of test results to assist debugging and modifying software
- Analyze test results to ensure functionality and recommend corrective action
- Consult with developing engineers to resolve issues and provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering preferred; Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Knowledge and experience of IPv4/IPv6 and routing protocols, particularly Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Experience and knowledge of Linux and Python programming language (shell scripting knowledge a plus)
- Experience in IP networking testing and troubleshooting
- General understanding of hardware architecture of switching/routing products
- Experience with industry known packet generators
- Experience with SW development in Python
- Self-starter with proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team
