About the role
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning to support operational needs.
- Work alongside external billing vendors to monitor timely reimbursement and accurate reimbursement.
- Cross check for accuracy and monitor % collection.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including GAAP and healthcare industry-specific requirements.
- Oversee tax preparation, financial audits, and insurance-related financial matters.
- Prepare details pertaining to financial details for loans.
- Work with the company accountant and legal team to organize and prepare financials appropriately.
- Monitor and manage financial risks, implementing necessary safeguards.
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with leadership and department heads.
- Monitor budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue growth.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with HR and payroll administrators to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Monitor compensation structures, including incentive programs and benefits costs.
- Ensure payroll tax compliance and accurate reporting.
- Serve as a financial advisor to the executive leadership team.
- Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle management teams to optimize reimbursement processes.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring best practices in financial management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Prior experience in healthcare services required (ABA, behavioral health, or therapy services is a strong plus).
