About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide onsite leadership and operational oversight for environmental services K-12 School District client facilities.
Coordinate and manage daily janitorial and housekeeping services to ensure clean, safe, and compliant environments.
Serve as a working lead, coordinating activities of janitors/housekeepers engaged in cleaning and/or maintaining buildings and facilities.
Use and operate standard commercial cleaning equipment.
Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and evaluations; address complaints and resolve problems.
Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees by complying with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Develops and directs the maintenance of such typically required business reports, administrative matters, or materials as budgets, operational reports, cost analysis.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Three (3) years of general manager experience in a hospitality, health care, K-12, or senior living environment.
Minimum of two (2) years of EVS management directly supervising a team of at least 10 employees.
Demonstrated Working knowledge of standard commercial cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook email, and common software applications.
Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
