About the role

Coordinates all aspects of managing a donor in the workup process
Assesses donor needs and develops support relationships
Schedules and conducts health history screenings and donor information sessions
Manages scheduling through the donor’s physical exam and medical clearance
Completes tasks required for donation and manages documentation
Contacts donors to assess recovery and determine if physician intervention is needed
Responsible for removing donation barriers and managing adverse events
Implements strategies for continuous process improvement
Attends meetings and trainings as needed

Bachelor's degree within a health care related field
Three years of experience interacting with patients, clients, or customers in a healthcare, nonprofit, or business setting
Flexibility in working hours based on donors’ needs, including non-traditional hours
Intermediate computer skills including experience with Microsoft office software
Ability to accurately and efficiently complete sensitive data forms
Well-developed interpersonal skills for diverse cultural interactions
Advanced communication skills for discussing sensitive information
Strong customer service skills with active listening and empathy
Ability to learn medical terminology and explain medical concepts in easy-to-understand terms
Ability to thrive in rapidly changing circumstances
