About the role
- Provides advice to management on legal issues relating to insurance regulatory law for the Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement lines of business.
- Supports the Sales and Broker Operations teams regarding Medicare regulations specific to the Government Programs lines of business.
- Handles legal inquiries from within the company.
- Responds with legal opinion as appropriate.
- Serves on various internal committees as both participant and counsel.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree is required.
- Requires two years of experience in the practice of law in a corporate legal department or a full service law firm with an emphasis in litigation and/or insurance regulatory law.
- Active NJ Bar Admission or eligibility to obtain limited license for in-house counsel required.
- Requires strong writing skills.
- Requires strong verbal communication skills.
- Requires ability to relate effectively with all levels of personnel within the company.
