About the role
- Provide oversight and management of overall contract operations, including multiple AI-driven projects, task orders, and distributed teams.
- Lead full project lifecycle efforts, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for federal client stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ensure adherence to federal client standards, policies, security requirements, and architectural guidelines.
- Coordinate and support program implementation efforts, tracking progress and driving execution across initiatives.
- Facilitate customer and vendor engagements, including process analysis, business case development, and resource planning.
- Support communication and coordination across internal teams, federal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Lead collaboration across cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Implement agile methodologies and promote efficient, iterative workflows.
- Perform quality control on deliverables to ensure they meet contract and industry standards.
- Oversee financial aspects of the program, including budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, assumptions, constraints, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate staffing and resource allocation to balance workload and support delivery.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to support successful outcomes.
- Facilitate working groups, stakeholder meetings, and decision support sessions.
- Promote adoption of AI best practices, governance, and responsible AI principles.
- Support proposal efforts, capture activities, and broader organizational growth initiatives.
Requirements
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience managing complex IT or technology programs.
- Experience supporting federal agencies, particularly within federal civilian or public sector environments.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile.
- Experience with financial management practices, including earned value management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience working within federal security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Experience managing AI/ML, data analytics, or advanced technology initiatives.
- Local to Ashburn, VA and available to work onsite as needed.
