About the role

  • Serve as a cloud application architect and senior technical advisor across multiple programs.
  • Define, review, and evolve application architectures in AWS.
  • Establish and maintain reference architectures, architectural patterns, and reusable design standards.
  • Review system designs, technical approaches, and implementation plans.
  • Advise teams on effective use of managed cloud services and architectural patterns.
  • Define and recommend full-stack technology standards and architectural patterns.
  • Design and govern application integration strategies and API standards.
  • Partner with DevOps and platform teams to define and standardize CI/CD practices.
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure adherence to coding standards, security controls, and quality expectations.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and technical standards.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in technical leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of modern application architectures and full-stack technology ecosystems.
  • Hands-on background in full-stack development, including Java-based APIs, Python services, and modern JavaScript front-end frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience designing or developing front-end applications using Angular in enterprise or federal environments.
  • Hands-on experience authoring and maintaining Terraform or AWS CloudFormation templates.
  • Experience with containerization and serverless architectures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
