About the role
- Provide overall architecture leadership across NiSource
- Interact with business leaders, IT leaders, vendors and create architecture blueprints
- Act as a visionary to assist in defining direction for future projects
- Review and design standard software and hardware builds
- Facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and reference material
- Lead architectural collaboration and governing processes including Architecture Review Boards
- Research, analyze, design, propose, and deliver solutions that align with business and technology strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 7-9 years of relevant enterprise-wide architecture experience
- Deep technology experience with Cisco, Meraki, Arista, F5, Microsoft Solutions, Palo Alto
- Knowledge of Network Automation and Monitoring
- Knowledge of Advanced Route/Switch Technologies (BFD, BGP, etc.)
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, Wireless, Load Balancers, Firewalls
- Experience in directing and mentoring architects
- Experience with on-premise solutions and cloud platforms on Azure, AWS
- Deep knowledge of API-first design patterns
- Strong consultative skills at a cross-functional level
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and LeanIX
- Knowledge of TOGAF, ITIL, and other frameworks
