About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Position is responsible for basic solar operational and maintenance tasks including basic troubleshooting, manual mowing, tooling maintenance and inspections, basic Preventative Maintenance, Snow Plowing/shoveling, basic Lockout/Tagout, component replacement, & equipment hauling.
- Under direct guidance from Solar Technician II and Lead Solar Technician, assist with higher level solar field duties.
- Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
- Provides basic inspection of electrical and mechanical components of solar arrays
- Tracker System Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Performs basic DC System Maintenance
- Perform basic Lockout/Tagout activities
- Performs basic PM work, corrective work, and component replacement on photovoltaic & inverter Systems
- Snowplow as required to access components
- Perform manual mowing of solar fields
- Maintain solar farm maintenance records in specified work management system across multiple devices
- Assist Solar Technician I and the Lead Solar Technician to perform other related duties as assigned that support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, maintenance, and advancement of photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System assets.
Requirements
