About the role

  • Independently nominates gas transportation on interstate pipelines and/or storage facilities in compliance with contract provisions
  • Confirms daily city-gate nominations for system supply, transportation customers, pool operators and Choice Suppliers
  • Manages banks and balancing services to maintain balance of supply and demand
  • Verifies and balances nominations, storage inventories and pipeline imbalances for data accuracy
  • Posts capacity releases on pipeline and storage websites associated with transportation and storage allocations to Choice/SCO Suppliers
  • Supports Gas Accountant during the monthly accounting closing by providing documentation on volume reconciliation and storage inventories timely
  • Analyzes available transportation and storage capacity and collaborates with Portfolio Managers/Gas Traders and Gas Control
  • Monitors pipeline electronic bulletin boards for critical information including operational restrictions
  • Maintains data and integrity of GasSource, Aviator, EASy and Energy Access Online (“EAO”), including system enhancements
  • Covers weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
  • Participates in non-recurring ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or other business or quantitative discipline
  • 1-3 years Relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical and strategic-thinking/planning abilities
  • Proven ability to identify, create and implement new processes, or process improvements
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong organizational/planning skills
  • Proven ability to work across departments collaboratively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
