About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build responsive desktop applications specifically for electrical engineering applications, ensuring that solutions are robust and scalable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, quality assurance, and support staff—to research, design, and implement new features tailored to electrical engineering needs.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve moderately complex customer issues and bugs related to electrical engineering applications.
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing of code to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Adhere to established software development methodologies and procedures, and continuously seek to improve development practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on developing solutions for technical fields such as electrical engineering.
  • Exposure to distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with optimization algorithms
  • Familiarity with iterative methods for solving nonlinear systems
  • Preferred Additional Experience:
  • Familiarity with power flow algorithms.
  • Experience in the electric utility or energy industry.
  • Familiarity with GIS, network modeling, or engineering analysis tools.
