About the role

  • Provide technical leadership for the team responsible for payment systems, ensuring the evolution and stability of the solutions.
  • Work on integrations between payment systems, billing and collections, optimizing flows and processes.
  • Design and enhance integrations with banks, payment gateways and financial institutions, seeking best-in-market solutions.
  • Ensure best practices for security, reliability, scalability and observability of the solutions, protecting customers' financial data.
  • Support architectural decisions and promote software engineering best practices to raise the team's technical quality.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of payment methods (recurring credit card payments, boleto bancário, PIX — Brazilian instant payment system, reconciliation and refunds/chargebacks).
  • Experience with bank integrations via APIs, return files, webhooks and reconciliation processes.
  • Functional knowledge of billing, invoices and collections.
  • Strong software development experience (preferably backend).
  • Experience with distributed systems architecture and integrations.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, messaging systems and asynchronous integrations.
  • Security best practices, especially in financial flows.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure or GCP (preferred).
