About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop high-impact software products for automated endpoint management
Work on the C++ agent running on customer devices with elevated system privileges
Detect, install, and validate patches across Windows, macOS, and Linux
Build resilient installation and rollback logic using system-level APIs
Read and act on policy owned by the mainline platform team
Review code for correctness, maintainability, and architectural health
Mentor and grow senior and mid-level engineers
Identify process gaps, propose fixes, and drive improvements to completion
Collaborate with mainline, catalog, and other patching squads on shared ownership and integration points
Translate roadmap priorities and customer needs into sound technical designs
Help shape architecture and serve as a senior technical voice on the C++ patching team
Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
10+ years of C++ development experience
Modern C++ (C++17 and above)
Cross-platform development experience across Windows, macOS, and Linux
Experience with Win32 API and POSIX
Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers
Experience with SQLite and embedded database patterns
Experience with CMake
Qt and Vcpkg proficiency is a strong plus
Ability to work with system-level APIs and elevated system privileges
Experience with asynchronous application design and client-server architecture is helpful
Experience with large-scale datastore bottlenecks is helpful
Must reside in one of the eligible U.S. states
