Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Incoming junior or senior currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and object-oriented design
  • Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL is a plus
  • Some experience using Git or other version control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and working in a team
  • Exposure to test-driven development (TDD) is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile development methods is a plus
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs is a plus
  • Interest in financial technology and consumer finance
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
  • Candidates must be local to Chicago or able to relocate independently; relocation assistance is not provided
