About the role
- Act as an active member or lead a team of developers in a project squad
- Decide which technologies to use for front-end and back-end and define overall architecture
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure efficient backlog planning and assist in technical client discussions
- Write clean, composable, and maintainable code
- Write automated tests and maintain product quality
- Perform code reviews with squad members
- Learn new technologies and languages (Ruby, Go, Elixir, etc.) and share knowledge through team rituals
- Collaborate to define internal processes and initiatives to help the company accomplish its mission
- Most client interfacing is handled by the Product Owner
Requirements
- 5+ years professional web development experience
- Experience in Ruby, JavaScript, Go, PHP or Python (at least one)
- Comfortable working both on frontend and backend (full-stack)
- Basic experience with a modern JavaScript framework (ReactJS/Redux, VueJS or AngularJS)
- Experience writing automated tests for web applications
- Focus on reusability, maintainability, security, and performance
- 'Can do' attitude and product mindset
- Confidence communicating in English
