About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the full life cycle of Marine Systems products from initial idea through development, manufacturing, service, maturity, and retirement
  • Develop and execute product strategy and multi-year roadmaps aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct market, industry, competitive, and Voice of Customer research
  • Define value propositions and product requirements for new and existing products
  • Drive continuous product improvement, manufacturing-process improvements, operating configurations, and product features
  • Identify customer needs through close interaction with customers and sales teams
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, differentiators, and product positioning
  • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities and enhancements
  • Build business cases for new product development, including ROI analysis and project justification
  • Lead Voice of Customer research and translate customer pain points into engineering requirements
  • Participate as a core team member in product development projects
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and customers on product configurations and features
  • Develop at least one quarterly inorganic growth opportunity, such as acquisitions, joint ventures, conglomerations, or integration strategies
  • Support global sales teams and channel partners with product inquiries, customer calls, and product training
  • Gather customer feedback and monitor satisfaction to drive product improvements
  • Act as internal customer advocate and ensure roadmaps solve customer problems
  • Drive product-line revenue growth, profitability, market-share expansion, NPI success, product adoption, sales mix, and customer satisfaction KPIs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards of excellence
  • Extensive experience with relevant product lines
  • Industry experience and knowledge in cryogenics, LNG, industrial gas, hydrogen, and clean energy
  • Exceptional problem-solving, negotiating, time-management, and general-management skills
  • Financial skills and familiarity with revenue, bookings, gross margin, EBIT, project budgeting, and cost structure/management
  • Ability to motivate a results-driven team
  • Ability to work across departments to achieve meaningful results
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience with related equipment, preferably in technical sales, project management, or general management
  • Proven record of exceeding business-development and sales targets, forecasting, strategic planning, and budgeting
  • Proven experience developing teams for technical business development
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Business with relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment is strongly preferred
  • Equivalent combination of experience and skills may be considered
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history/driving abstract required for travel between facilities and client sites
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. may be required
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and/or holidays, as workload dictates
  • Ability to meet stated physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling, talking/hearing, and using fingers/hands
  • Compliance with Nikkiso safety requirements and required PPE use
  • Ability to travel extensively internationally
