About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for source selection and procurement of products and services
- Manage metal castings, machined components, and metal fabrication commodities
- Support and co-lead procurement strategies for different commodities
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Conduct annual supplier negotiations with top ten suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely supply of materials
- Lead procurement assignments for new product development
- Drive and execute supplier savings projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement
- Strong background in procurement strategies
- Extensive knowledge of supplier development strategies
- Extensive knowledge of material flow best practices in production environment
- Experience with global procurement teams
- Strong knowledge of machining castings, forgings, and welding
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related technical area or equivalent work experience
