About the role

  • Coordinate and execute the onboarding of new loan portfolios, including bulk transfers and individual originations.
  • Import and validate loan data using system templates (e.g., FICS import modules), ensuring all critical fields are accurately mapped and reconciled.
  • Conduct pre-boarding audits: verify collateral data, escrow balances, interest calculations, and payment schedules.
  • Work closely with originations, escrow, compliance, and IT teams to ensure smooth data transfer and onboarding handoff.
  • Review and upload required loan documentation, including security instruments, amortization schedules, insurance declarations, escrow analyses, and borrower contact information.
  • Track onboarding milestones and maintain detailed logs of pending documentation or data corrections.
  • Generate borrower communications such as welcome letters
  • Troubleshoot data anomalies or system errors and escalate issues for resolution.
  • Assist with onboarding checklists and playbooks to standardize and improve future transfers.
  • Support audits, investor due diligence, and servicing reviews related to data boarding.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage or consumer loan servicing, preferably in a loan boarding or data reconciliation capacity
  • Familiarity with FICS, MSP, or equivalent servicing platforms
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage documents and data fields (e.g., Note, Security Instrument, Escrow, Amortization)
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to identify and correct data inconsistencies
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with chattel loan boarding, including manufactured housing loans
  • Prior experience onboarding servicing transfers or investor portfolios
  • Knowledge of escrow administration, loan accounting, and compliance regulations (RESPA, TILA)
  • Experience working with servicing systems (FICS), Payment processing (Paymentus), Black Knight, or API-driven loan systems
