About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build highly available and secure authentication and API services
Maintain and evolve mission-critical internal databases and services
Ensure downstream AI models scale for low-latency, real-time inferencing
Optimize and operate high-volume auto-scaling streaming data services
Instrument streaming data services to provide visibility into utilization per customer
Write and maintain documentation for internal and public services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Expertise in one or more systems/high-level programming languages, such as Python, Go, Java, or C++, and eagerness to learn more
Experience running scalable systems handling thousands of RPS and reliable systems with three-nines availability
Experience developing complex software systems scaling to substantial data volumes or millions of users, with production-quality deployment, monitoring, and reliability
Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems, SQL or NoSQL, such as MySQL or Cassandra
Experience building Agentic AI systems at scale, including semantic ingestion, summarization, querying at scale, and orchestrating hundreds of parallel agents
Ability to decompose complex business problems and lead a team in solving them
Experience building and maintaining large-scale and/or real-time complex data-processing pipelines using Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Storm, or Zookeeper
5+ years of experience
Required professional backend development experience after degree, excluding internships
Required experience building or operating a production system handling 1,000+ RPS sustained
Required experience owning or being on-call for a system with a 99.9%+ uptime SLA
Required experience building a production system orchestrating multiple AI agents in parallel
