About the role

  • The Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact events that align with brand objectives and business goals. Lead full-cycle planning for multiple events per year including scientific conferences, consumer health trade shows, executive roadshows and internal events. Manage logistics: venue sourcing, contract negotiations, speaker coordination, signage, travel, insurance, AV, registration platforms, and run-of-show documentation. Develop and manage event budgets ranging from $5,000 to $250,000+ per event and reconcile invoices. Partner closely with marketing, product, regulatory, and creative teams to ensure brand consistency and accurate messaging at all events. Define and track KPIs for each event and deliver post-event reports with analysis, learnings, and optimization recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. 3–5 years of professional experience managing end-to-end events, ideally in biotech, health tech, consumer health, or life sciences. Experience managing large national industry events (e.g., 500+ attendees) and niche scientific meetings. Strong understanding of FDA/FTC guidelines and compliance related to medical/scientific events. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent events under tight timelines. Skilled in using project management and event tools such as ClickUp, Monday.com, Cvent, Splash, or Asana. Experience with lead tracking software, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and marketing automation platforms is a plus. Willingness and ability to travel 50% - 75% of the time required. Ability to lift, carry, and transport event materials (25–50 lbs) as needed.
