About the role
- Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for the Marketplace Inventory Supply domain, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and product vision
- Directly manage 3+ Engineering Teams, including Engineering Leads and Senior Engineers, fostering a high-performance culture, and providing mentorship and career development
- Lead the quarterly planning process (e.g., OKRs), translating high-level business objectives into clear, measurable, and achievable engineering goals and delivery plans
- Oversee the entire engineering lifecycle for partner integrations and property data ingestion/transformation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and accuracy of data for millions of properties
- Drive architectural excellence, making key technology decisions to optimize our high-volume, data-intensive platform (terabytes of data, billions of records processed daily)
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and other cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, manage expectations, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features and initiatives
- Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational excellence across all teams
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for external partners, managing technical relationships and guiding integration standards
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience managing engineering teams, ideally in a high-traffic, data-intensive marketplace or e-commerce environment
- Technical expertise in one or more areas of our tech stack (e.g., C#, Symfony, distributed systems, high-volume data processing with Kafka/RabbitMQ, large-scale databases like MariaDB/Snowflake/ElasticSearch)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with product managers and business teams to translate requirements into technical roadmaps and deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of technical excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP), and modern monitoring and observability practices
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
