About the role
- Develop and complete the technical review of electrical training programs
- Create content for various internal communication channels and product teams
- Create YouTube videos and social posts covering various technical topics
- Write explanatory content for NFPA LiNK®, handbooks, blogs, and articles
- Ideate and support the development of artwork, visual aids, and videos for expert commentary
- Respond to advisory questions related to multiple electrical topics through various media
- Interact with and respond to media inquiries as needed
- Advise and act as a subject matter expert in the review and development of new and existing products, training materials, marketing materials, and outreach efforts
- Deliver training, presentations and lead seminars on technical topics at industry events
- Teach NFPA seminars related to Electrical subject matters both in classroom and through distance learning
- Provide input into budgeting activities
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience as an electrician, electrical contractor, electrical inspector or electrical engineer/systems designer
- Vocational/Technical Degree/Licensure or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the NEC®
- Fundamental knowledge and experience with the Electrical Cycle of Safety ™ (NFPA 70, 70E, and 70B)
- Background in instructing/mentoring (preferred)
- Understanding of the various roles in the electrical industry (electrician, electrical contractor, electrical inspector, electrical engineer, etc.)
- Experience with developing training materials and public speaking/training large groups
- Well versed Social Media skills (Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn/Twitter)
- Approximately 25% travel required
