About the role

  • Develop and complete the technical review of electrical training programs
  • Create content for various internal communication channels and product teams
  • Create YouTube videos and social posts covering various technical topics
  • Write explanatory content for NFPA LiNK®, handbooks, blogs, and articles
  • Ideate and support the development of artwork, visual aids, and videos for expert commentary
  • Respond to advisory questions related to multiple electrical topics through various media
  • Interact with and respond to media inquiries as needed
  • Advise and act as a subject matter expert in the review and development of new and existing products, training materials, marketing materials, and outreach efforts
  • Deliver training, presentations and lead seminars on technical topics at industry events
  • Teach NFPA seminars related to Electrical subject matters both in classroom and through distance learning
  • Provide input into budgeting activities

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience as an electrician, electrical contractor, electrical inspector or electrical engineer/systems designer
  • Vocational/Technical Degree/Licensure or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the NEC®
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience with the Electrical Cycle of Safety ™ (NFPA 70, 70E, and 70B)
  • Background in instructing/mentoring (preferred)
  • Understanding of the various roles in the electrical industry (electrician, electrical contractor, electrical inspector, electrical engineer, etc.)
  • Experience with developing training materials and public speaking/training large groups
  • Well versed Social Media skills (Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn/Twitter)
  • Approximately 25% travel required
