About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • **POSITION SUMMARY**
  • Reporting to the Accounting Transactions Team Supervisor, this position works as part of the Internal Group Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and deadline submission of month-end, quarter-end and year-end results are met. This position supports leadership in the development and implementation of standardized Group accounting policies and processes.
  • **WHAT YOU WILL DO:**
  • - Performs recurring monthly tasks and journal entries to assist the Internal Group Accounting team in financial close.
  • - Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.
  • - Maintains general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
  • - Collaborates with Account Transactions Team Supervisor and Internal Group Accounting Manager to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • - Supports the Internal Group Accounting leadership in the development and implementation of standardized accounting policies and processes.
  • - Aids in process standardization and system implementation projects.
  • - Assists with internal and external audit requests.
  • - Supports and interacts with various functional groups within Finance and Operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • **WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:**
  • - Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a combination of related education and experience.
  • - Prior experience in a finance/accounting function.
  • - Demonstrated knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • - Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • - Analytical problem solver with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • - Strong MS Excel skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • - Familiarity with Oracle considered an asset.
  • - Current enrolment or completion of a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) considered an asset.
