About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Clinical Supervisor oversees, leads, and develops staff and manages daily operations within the service area, through effective leadership, communication, organization, and planning.
  • This role is responsible for collaboratively meeting budgeted census projections while providing leadership to the Clinical team.
  • Develop and manage policies and procedures to ensure effective client care.
  • Foster a positive, trauma-informed culture and guide staff in daily decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Use data to assess service trends, risks, and outcomes.
  • Oversee clinical processes and team performance, and support staff training and development.
  • Lead client evaluations, treatment planning, and ensure compliance with licensing standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Hire, train, and mentor staff.
  • Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Support professional growth and uphold Nexus values.
  • Ensure confidentiality, promote respectful communication, and monitor health and safety standards.
  • Encourage diversity and inclusion across the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or clinically related field required.
  • Must have a current LICSW, LPCC, LMFT in Minnesota.
  • Experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or clinical experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a DHS criminal background check.
  • Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.
