About the role
- Coordinate closely with the Piping, Mechanical and Electrical groups
- Design of foundations and steel framing to support equipment and utilities
- Work includes the design of foundations and superstructures for platforms, walkways, and other elevated structures
- Report to the Structural Discipline Manager
- Completed technical work is reviewed by senior management before being presented to the client.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering role
- Working knowledge of AISC, ACI and ASCE7 design codes
- An interest and aptitude in the design of steel and concrete structures
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient the use of structural analysis modelling software
- Understanding of Advance Steel and Revit programs is a plus
- Ability to plan and execute work with limited direction
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Establish and maintain good client relations
- Attention to detail, highly organized and performance of self-checking of work
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on concrete, steel and foundation design coursework, advanced degree a plus
- P.E. certification required
