About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Planning, installation, administration and maintenance of Oracle databases on Windows-based systems (single database / Data Guard)
  • Planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades
  • Restoring database operations in the event of operating system or hardware failures
  • Analysis and resolution of reported system incidents
  • 2nd-level support for the hospital information system (KIS) support team for database incidents
  • Implementation of measures to optimize database performance
  • Expansion of our technical documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed vocational training or degree in the IT field or a comparable qualification
  • Solid experience in administering Oracle databases on Windows or Linux
  • Experience with database migrations, upgrades and backup and recovery procedures (e.g., RMAN)
  • Skills in analyzing and resolving incidents as well as performance tuning of Oracle databases
  • Experience in 2nd-level support and working with ticketing systems
  • Team player with a structured, results-oriented and independent working style
  • Very good German and good English skills
