About the role
- Project development in the field of renewable energy, with a focus on ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Development of PV ground-mounted projects and BESS from site identification to construction readiness
- Identification, assessment and acquisition of suitable sites
- Management and coordination of required rezoning, land-use designation and permitting procedures
- Securing grid capacity, obtaining connection requirements and performing grid compatibility studies with grid operators
- Ensuring project maturity while meeting all technical, legal and economic requirements
- Land securing: support and coordination in searching for, assessing and securing suitable land
- Preparation and execution of contract negotiations with landowners in coordination with the legal department
- Presentation of projects and negotiations with municipalities
- Stakeholder management: building and maintaining relationships with authorities, grid operators, municipalities, planners, expert assessors and other stakeholders
- Management of external consultants and project developers
- Financial responsibility: preparation, monitoring and reporting of budgets (with management support)
- Support in financing and PPA negotiations
- Support in the sale of projects
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field, e.g. Economics, Law, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Renewable Energy, Landscape Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Agriculture or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in renewable energy project development and a strong professional network
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of personal responsibility
- Strong negotiation skills, confident presence and good interpersonal sensitivity
- Business-fluent German and very good English (written and spoken) and a high willingness to travel
