About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safeguard workforce across wind fleet
- Strategically deploy safety resources and champion safety culture
- Drive compliance initiatives, conduct field assessments, improve job packages and safety plans
- Support tactical teams, deliver presentations, and leverage data analytics for safety processes
- Build partnerships with regulatory agencies and operational teams
- Mentor colleagues through safety coaching and training
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses (RCAs) to recommend improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Safety and/or Occupational Health preferred)
- 4+ years in the energy/utility sector, OR a minimum of 8 years of experience (preferably a minimum of 5 years of safety experience plus 3 years other applicable experience)
- Demonstrated experience in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution, or comparable industrial environments
- Deep understanding of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.269, 1926), ANSI, NFPA, and NESC standards
- Proven leadership in safety program development, training delivery, and investigations
- Effective communicator who can engage diverse audiences—from frontline workers to executive leadership
- Technical writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other digital platforms
- Industrial hygiene experience is a welcome plus.
