About the role

  • Join NextEra Energy Resources' dynamic M&A team and play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic energy infrastructure and development opportunities.
  • Corporate Strategy: Managing workstreams to help formulate and evolve corporate development and M&A strategy.
  • M&A Deal Diligence and Support: Coordinate multiple workstreams, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate natural gas assets.
  • Due Diligence Management: Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes.
  • Market Research: Analyze natural gas market trends, pricing dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Deal Execution: Support transaction processes from initial screening through closing.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and collaborate with internal teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CFA preferred but not required
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance
  • Advanced skills in building complex financial models, scenario analysis, and valuation methodologies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to various audiences.
