About the role

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical subject matter experts, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Provide strategic direction for products and tools used across the Renewables CWE, in collaboration with other team members.
  • Act as a service-driven partner to field and operations teams, gathering requirements, defining problem statements, and ensuring strong user experience outcomes.
  • Facilitate clear communication between technical teams, operations stakeholders, and corporate IT groups.
  • Prioritize and manage work across multiple projects using Jira or similar project management tools; maintain organization, visibility, and workflow clarity.
  • Improve and maintain documentation, ensuring processes, decisions, and system knowledge are accessible and up to date.
  • Evaluate business processes and value streams, identifying opportunities for simplification, optimization, and automation.
  • Support integrations with other business groups and enterprise systems.
  • Represent the team in meetings with non-technical stakeholders, translating requirements into action plans and clarifying dependencies and risks.
  • < 10% travel – meeting with field technicians and plant managers to evaluate project success and gather requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience:5+ years
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or similar fields
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with project management suites (such as Jira)
  • Problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience leading/managing technical specialists
  • Master’s degree in business administration (preferred)
  • Experience with procedural code development (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript)
  • Experience with databases and SQL (Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, Redshift, etc.)
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and version control systems
  • Background in software development or power generation
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (desired)
