About the role

  • Drive innovation by integrating cutting-edge geospatial data management technologies
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver advanced geospatial data management and analytics solutions
  • Architect, design, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for geospatial applications
  • Lead the development and optimization of ETL processes for large volumes of geospatial and tabular data
  • Design, build, and interact with API-driven web services for product integration
  • Collaborate with backend and platform engineers for secure communication
  • Ensure data quality across all stages of the data lifecycle
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years experience
  • Expert knowledge of coordinate reference systems
  • Strong experience with geospatial analytics and working with geospatial data formats
  • Proven experience in national or global scale data challenges
  • Experience with data streaming and real-time data processing
  • Understanding of Python
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and Agile methodologies
  • Expertise in Safe Software FME and Esri Enterprise GIS platforms
  • Knowledge of geospatial libraries and tools (e.g. Esri, GDAL, PDAL, PostGIS, GeoPandas, Shapely)
  • Awareness of machine learning, deep learning and AI applications related to geospatial data engineering workflows.
